Default Neuspeed vs. JB1

Anyone have experience with either or both modules? Are you updateable? How does the JB4 differ from the JB1?

I own the jb1.
  • Customizable boost RPM table and logging (w/ optional USB cable)
  • Good support
  • Easy install and removal
  • MPG still okay if you accelerate gradually
  • no firmware updates (only jb4 gets updates)

Ive had the RaceChip and the JB4. Racehip is way more simple and plug and play. Difference between JB1 and JB4 is ability to change files as well as a connection to the O2 sensor wire. JB's definitely provide more power in my opinion with better customer support and updates.

Thanks HyperS4!

1) Does JB4 allow you to run a catless downpipe?
2) can I conveniently turn a JB1 on and off?

If you're going to run a testpipe, why would you not just get a real tune?

1) Not sure, havent looked into it. I would ask that in the JB4 thread directly to George.
2) Yes, just unplug from the OBDII port whenever you want(as long as the car isnt running).

I thought the JB1 doesn't have the OBDII connection, but the JB4 does. I could have misunderstood that. Anyone know for sure?

You could be right on that, I only know the JB4 from experience.

I downloaded the install PDF and there is no OBD port connection on the JB1. To answer the original question it probably means uninstalling the JB1 which isnt tough, just Un do 3 plugs.

I'm wondering what the performance gains differences are between the JB1 and JB4 (on 91 octane)? Are they the same?

What's the real advantage of the JB4 over JB1 (besides Bluetooth, updateable)?
