Default Opinions on Lane Assist from those that coded it

I asked once before but thought I'd get more answers if I started it's own thread. I see a couple people that "uncoded" it. How do,the rest of you like it without being able to turn it off?

I'm pretty sure you can turn it off - its an option in the MMI isn't it? I coded it today and it works really well for me, didn't check if there was an option to turn it off.

It's coded on or coded off; no on/off via MMI.

I think it's okay. It doen't bother me. Since I know how to use my turn signals and stay centered in my lane, I don't feel it intruding that often. I think it's a nice to have, but it doesn't replace paying attention to the road.

So, if you use your turn signal, then I assume the auto corrections do not come on???

Correct. Also, user input will over-ride the auto corrections anyway.

I have used it for a couple of weeks now and quite like it.

I have used it for a week. I commute on interstate 22 miles each way. I have decided to un-code it. It's too annoying for me when I get a 'surprise' steering input (and I have it set for late warning).

I would enable it for long road trips though.
