Has anyone disabled the orange side marker on the headlight?

I have. I think it looks better without the orange in the headlight. But we still have the orange reflectors in the bumper so it's somewhat of a sideways move.

How did you disable it?

I was going to use the credits to just do it but when I go there its already set to disable? Do I need to click activate?

worked perfectly thank you upncoming

so i used the apps to disable the start/off options. i clicked active to disable - got the green sucessful pop up. no 100 credits was used. tested my car and still shows the grey A when started.

i went back to apps - and it shows disabled.


for those who coded this. do you guys still have the grey A showing or is it completely gone?

I'm about to give up. I tried everything and nothing works 100%:

• 5 to 0 in 08-Auto HVAC - works but obviously only when the HVAC is on and I drive with it off more often than on
• The 100 credits in the OBDeleven is just the same mod as above
• I purchased the Kufatec module and it didn't work for me at all. Followed the directions, waited for he Red LED to come on then disconnected, but didn't change anything for me, car still turns off when I come to a stop with the clutch disengaged

I have a 2018 MY with manual trans which might be the difference. Next step is to take the button off and reverse engineer it to see if I can have it default to on.

Call me crazy but I cant take hitting the button every time I get in the car.

I have described (in the linked post) how I did that on my B8. (I assume the button in B9, like B8, just shorts the button terminals as long as you press it). I added a timer circuit, activated by 12V power ON that after a few seconds delay activates a relay to short the button terminals for one second. That means that I can can activate S/S when I want it, it just starts up disabled every time. (In B8 the first 5 second delay is needed to let the car "boot".)

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

My car is manual transmission and works perfectly. Not sure if you long coded something else but maybe you changed something and that is the issue.

Try going back to factory settings and try that change first.
