I just recently purchased a 2017 A4 premium plus. I Switched from BMW and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the A4! My only gripe is a ticking noise that has been driving me crazy! I have spent the past few weeks searching the internet in my spare time for clues on where the ticking could be coming from and I stumbled upon this thread (https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-...nsole-2901874/). It turns out that if I watch my key fob while the ticking is happening the red light corresponds exactly to the noise meaning that it is most likely the remote key antenna similar to the Q7. I know this was/is an issue on the Q7 but I have not heard any talk of this happening on the B9 A4s. Is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone know if there is an Audi tech bulletin for this issue for the A4?

When does this ticking happen? I've never noticed this ticking noise!!! The only noise in my car is the abs pump priming at 25mph!!!

I think my car has it too. It sounds like metal hitting something lightly and ends quickly. I'd wish it disappear.

When does it happen - Right after you start the car and speed up? Happens once and that's it until next time you turn on your car?
If answer is Yes to both questions... it's the ABS. Completely normal, apparently.

It is definitely not the ABS calibration that happens at 25 mph. This can be directly tied to the keyfob. When the ticking noise is happening it corresponds perfectly with a blinking LED on the keyfob. This is a similar issue to the Q5 remote antenna ticking issue. I plan on talking with Audi about this at my service appointment coming up.
