Tour Audi plant in Ingolstadt, Germany
I put this out as part of another post but thought worthwhile on its own.
I was recently in Germany and took a tour of the Audi assembly plant in Ingolstadt.. In short a fabulous tour. Literally walked much of the line with the robots and technicians a couple feet away. Multiple stories above and below ground level watching parts moving vertically and horizontally was amazing.
The technology, complexity, automation, safety etc was beyond interesting and fascinating
I suspect most other auto assembly plants have many similarities but owning an Audi and seeing how they are built was outstanding. Highly Highly recommended if you get the opportunity.

I did the tour back in 2003 and it was a really cool experience. Definite hit for the Audi fan.
