Used: 2017 A4 (Premium Plus) FWD
Hello everyone. First time poster. First potential Audi for me.
I was wondering if I could get some of your thoughts on this deal.
This is a used, company demo 2017 AUDI A4
2.0T PREMIUM PLUS / TECHNOLOGY / NAVIGATION / BANG & OLUFSEN
I was quoted $38,799 out the door. The list price is $37,991
Thoughts on it being a company demo and its price?
Much appreciated and thank you!

When I test the drive a car... I test it well...and I know I'm not the only one... I would not buy a used company demo - ever. Those cars are gunned outta the gates. Even the manual says take it easy first couple thousand km's I think. Most definitely the first 1500km, while all the pieces settle.
Unless you're leasing. Then it's under warranty and you don't have to worry much. But if you're thinking you're gonna keep it... I wouldn't do it. Just my opinion though.

Being in Texas, AWD is not a priority. But everyone seems to say, if you're going to get an Audi, I should get a quattro.
I do have another offer from a different dealership offering similar miles and options at $37,250 Sales price + TTL = $39,956.79. For about 1200 more, I can get AWD.
Same issue though, this was a loander/company demo. As munsabin stated, I'm quite weary of the long term effects..

I had a look at the US site to see what the packages means to you guys...
JMan, are you able to find a used one that was not a demo? I looked on autotrader around my area for example (Toronto, Canada), and quickly found like 6 '17 A4s that were actually owned. Significant price drop of course, and what's neat is that since it's [not (EDIT - it IS* a pre-owned)] a pre-owned, they have the 6 years 180K km coverage (or something like that).
If you're able to afford it, go for the AWD. But being in Texas, it really isn't a big deal. But it is true... Audi is Quattro. If I was tight on a budget I would get the FWD but with the exterior upgrdes (S-Line exterior bumpers, LED lights, suspension, seats, etc).

Thanks for the info. After taking a step back. I think I will hold off. Reliability is always little worrisome for myself and the price reduction on a demo just isn't enough for me. I'll keep an eye out for an actual customer owned car instead, in the coming months.
Thanks everyone!

munsabin alluded to it, but if you buy used through Audi you can probably find a CPO (certified pre-owned) car pretty easily. If you're in TX, check Momentum in Houston - they're a huge dealership and always seem to have CPU A4s in stock.
With Audi's CPO program, you get the remainder of the four-year/50k miles warranty (based on the original in-service date, which is pretty much 3+ years at this point), plus an additional two-year/50k miles warranty, so you could end up with say 5+ years and 100k in warranty.
I have a couple of friends that are serial Audi consumers in this fashion - they love this program. My wife and I considered it this time, but fell in love with the idea of ordering exactly what we wanted - something we'd never done before. One of my friends' most recent purchase was a CPO A6 that was a service loaner - it's too early to tell what his story will be, and that evidence would be anecdotal anyway.

ETA: Looks like 7 '17 CPO A4s in stock at Momentum right now: https://www.audicentralhouston.com/c...anchor-model-1
