Virtual Cockpit Update
Has anyone tried to update VC, to any version?
For example last one 8S0 906 961 AL, FPKWW379B9, Version 0379 |
Maybe somebody know what changes in new software?
My current version is 0307 |
Is there any update that finally solves the "unknown song/artist/album" on the VC for whatever Carplay is playing?
It's so infuriating.... |
How do you update to the latest version? Do you have to go to the dealer?

I don’t think the dealer will update it for you unless your VC has issues. Same way the won’t update your MMI to the latest one unless it hangs or something. |
Update is selling by dealer as a SD-card with software. If you have SD-card with software you can update by yourself.

I think in the older Audi cars you updated maps and MMI by using an SD card which you could also find on eBay if you searched hard enough. I assume that’s what serges meant. But regarding the new platform. IDK. There’s definitely no way we can update MMI or VC ourselves. |
MMI or VC can be updated with SD card through Red Menu, it is not a problem.
