While I am very happy to see that Apple is expanding apps' access to CarPlay, after the trouble I had with iOS 11.2, I will sit back and wait until other Audi owners move to iOS 12 before I do.
Anyone here volunteering to be the first to update to iOS 12.0.0?
I already updated to iOS 12, I have had a great experience with this OS. I can say it works way better on the iPhone X than iOS11. I have tried to use Waze or google maps on Carplay and have not been able to do so, can´t find the option on Settings to make them appear. If anyone knows how to do it I would be willing to post updates.

I suspect that they need to be modified to support Car Play and then released to the general public.

Let's be clear--you installed a **beta** of iOS 12. Betas (at least the earlier ones) do not necessarily have all the features included in the final version, and features seen in betas can be changed or even dumped before the final version. While it is encouraging to hear that an iOS 12 beta doesn't break CarPlay on someone's Audi, I am still going to hold off until at least several Audi owners install the final 12.0.0 release version and report no problems before I install it.

I'm still on iOS 10.3.3 and still refuse to update until it meets or exceeds the efficiency of 10.3.3!!!
You should really try to update it , I was at 11 something b/c I wanted to JB but now tht 11.3.1 can be JB and it's amazing. Battery life improved too and everything is smooth. I know 10.3.3 was really good, I was there myself for a while and then heard the news 11 was able to JB but 11.2 I think was not that great

The application updates needed to enable probably won't be listed in the app store until closer to Sept
Even though I know that Waze won't be available in Car Play until after September, the current beta does keep Car Play connected, but it is still unusable with Waze. It still reverts to dead air after reading turn by turn directions- instead of returning to radio audio. And even clicking radio toggle manually- still no radio audio.
I know it's a beta, but c'mon Apple/Audi- there has to be a fix for this 8+ month on-going issue.
