Default Weird decal markings left on windshield when fogged up


Anyone else have issues getting this off ?

Yes. Your dealer can clay bar both sides of the windows to clear that up.

My 2013 still had that imprint after 6 years of trying to clean it off.

Clay bar for cleaning glass from Griot's Garage:

You need to use it with a lubricant like a spray-on quick detailing product or it will leave residue.

I had this issue on a previous Audi and while I can’t find the thread now, I recall that one of the engineers at work gave me some fine diamond grit powder which took care of the issue and he had also suggested that something like toothpaste might also work.

Yeah, there was another thread here on the same not too long ago. I think we called them "ghost" images at that time.
