Default 06A4Cab drivers underseat storage? & Sliding rear trim cover?

Greetings, new owner here, very thankful to have discovered you all.
I searched but came up empty:
1. Should there be an underseat tray under drivers seat? Or not?

2. With top down, one of the trim sliding covers, a plastic piece, is stuck open, aesthetically awkward. Tried to lift and move, gets stuck after 1/4 inch. Tried to realign plastic pins, piece feels tight, don't want to break it or any pins still in a groove. Any help?

3. Minor: wind noise with top up, windows closed, at highway speed. Any ideas?

4. Filed windshield wash fluid, proceeded drip out, finally dripping from inside front left wheel well, body trim area. ?

5. Headlights hazy, UV damage and cloudy. Suggestions?

Many thanks

Wind noise is at drivers side, head area, ear area, from corner of door, at the point where the window enters the door and the corner of the rear body panel/ rear window point.

I can address some of the issues:
1) When I took delivery of my new Cabriolet (which looked identical to your's) in 2003, it had a tray under the passenger's seat, but none under the driver's. I took it for granted that this was a simple omission, and asked the dealer's service department to install a tray under the driver's seat. They did, at no charge.
3) I had virtually no wind noise with the top up in nearly 8 years of driving the car.
5) There are several companies marketing polishing lotions for this condition, which you then buff out with a buffer wheel mounted to a power drill.
Good luck with your car!

I recently purchased an 2004 A4 Cab. It only has a passenger side storage tray.

I had the headlight haze as well. I've dealt with this before on Mercedes too. I've tried all the creams etc. The best results IMO come from sanding. I used a 3M drill sanding kit from the auto parts store and supplemented it with some additional grits of hand sanding paper.

300, 400, 500, 800, 2000, 3000 grits followed by rubbing compound, polishing compound and 2 coats of wax to protect. You should plan for about an hour per headlight. Mine aren't perfect, but they look damn close and are a million times better than they were when I purchased it a couple weeks ago.

I also saw a YouTube video this week where a guy used some spray clear coat as the final step to protect the work. Its an interesting idea.

Good luck.

Thought a little before and after might help so you can get a feel for what the sand paper approach can produce.
