Default 2:00h warning on the miles to empty

Occasionally I get a 2:00h warning on the miles to empty on the LCD display. It shows up randomly, when the tank is full or 1/4 full, no rhyme or reason. Owners manual doesn't address it and I haven't found a reference anywhere else on the web. Thanks in advance.

I have had my 2006 A4 for several months so far and I believe this 2:00h notification is a "stretch your legs" reminder. It is counting up from when your trip started.
I haven't figured out what resets the timer, since once I stop and get fuel or what not, it continues counting and will flash again at 4:00h. It doesn't bother me much, as just a simple click of the button on the bottom of the wiper stalk will return me to the previous page.

Ah-ha, makes perfect sense. I have a smart watch with the same nasty habit of prompting me to do healthy shtuff like that. Thankfully it isn't something tragically expensive. I thought the car was letting me know how many thous it was going to cost to fix!!!
