Default 2003 AUDI A4 1.8L CAB TURBO

Hello Fellow Audi Lovers,

I recently had a passenger side CV joint fail and catch fire on the freeway at 70 mph on my 2003 Audi A4 1.8L Turbo Cab. I replaced the CV joint but now the car is very hard to start when cold. It acts flooded. I do have severe soot through out the whole engine compartment. I am guessing the soot has clogged something. Any suggestions on where to start for resolving this issue? I have not cleaned the soot from engine compartment yet and I am needing to do so. Will I be able to clean it at a car wash with the pressure washer? Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. b\David- brady.brady@gmail.com Thank you
