I’ve got a 2003 A4 Cabriolet that started vibrating under accelleration this winter. I replaced all 6 coil packs thinking it was missing, but that did not resolve it. I took it in and the dealer originally said it was an intake issue and some clamps had fallen off. They charged me $85. It drove better on the way home but then started doing it again so I took it back. Now they want $1,800 to replace both CV shafts.

It’s not too bad 0-45. Then I accellerate to pass it really shakes. When I take my foot off the gas and coast it’s smooth, so not the wheels/tires.

Anybody have some thoughts on this?
