2008 Audi A4 convertible comfort control module replacement
I would love to replace my own comfort module because it doesn’t work due to water damage. A leaking top caused the damage. I am not happy with anything the dealership service does with my car. When I had the problem with the window they actually returned the car in worst condition. Why try to fix the window if the problem is with the comfort control module. Now the driver window floats down and I can’t get it up. I would like to try to fix it my self but I am not sure after I put a new one in if it has to be reprogrammed by the dealer. I have heard conflicting opinions regarding this issue. Any advice

Had the same (Top/Water) problem a few years ago. Purchased a CCM off Ebay (you can find one for $200-$300), and installed (under drivers seat) it myself..No prob.
Actually even had to rewire/splice entire wire harness (approx 25 wires), because connectors had melted due to my starting and running vehicle trying to diagnose where/what the prob was.
As long as you get one with the same part #, you should be just fine...as I did, and needed No Programming...pretty much Plug and Play.
And this was after letting car set for an entire year...as soon a the last wire was connected, and harness was plugged in...turned the key, and started right up!!!
I know your post/question is a few months old, but hope I offer response soon enough to help.

Thank you for your reply. I did exactly what you suggested and now everything works fine. Now I must prevent the CCM from getting wet again. The unit was in horrible condition. I also had to but a harness and splice a lot of wires to repair everything. My convertible top leaks and I am not ready to pay 4000$ for a new one.

Neither was I...so I did a little research, and found a few places online that sold tops directly to the public. After researching (reading reviews/ pricing /materials offered for tops) a few I think I ended up buying mine from topsonline.com ...price (for top alone) was great around $750-$775 (I got an EZ-ON brand top, because that was suggested by my installer)...and had it installed for $400 (Have a great guy here in Florida)...so total I was out about$1200.
You may come out a little more, as installation averages $800 most places...but that's still better than the dealers $4000!!!
Hope this helps!!!

I replaced the body control module on my 2009 A4 convertible but I’m unable to get the remote key fob buttons to reprogram. I’m thinking it has something to do with the body control module change?

Yes...you would need to have the fob reprogrammed. Instead of the hefty price the dealer wanted, after I replaced my (own) CCM...I purchased an OBDELEVEN scan tool for maybe $80, and the device also has a forums feature, where I found the fob programming instructions. Also was able to activate auto-lock at 5mph, and one or two other features I can't clearly recall at the moment. Hope this helps!!!
