Default Convertible glass coming loose.

My rear glass is coming loose, on my 2005, lot's of videos using glue or epoxy. Do these work and last, I don't need a new top, always garaged.

as far as I know, the window is heat bonded. Glues are a temporary fix.

So far gorilla glue is very temporary, left heat sealed rubber on hoping for a bond to that. Will try to scrape rubber but looks like will only hold until I use the top a few times, hope I don't have to buy a new one. .

After a couple of tries, I found a fix that has held now for over 1 year. First wedge a roll of paper towels to the inside of the back panel to give pressure to the glass. Take double sided sponge tape from 3M and apply Gorilla glue to both sides and apply to the glass and the edge of the top. To give it more fabric to hold on to, I unrolled the folded ends of the edging where the glass meets the top. Apply weight to the outside of where the top meets the glass to apply pressure on the adhesive - I used a thick phone book. Let settle for 24 hours before moving the top. For cosmetics, I used rubber glass edging that you can get from any auto parts store to give it a finish. Not the best looking fix but better than spending 2 grand for a new top.
