Convertible top

I hope not, but it could be the hydraulic system that operates the top and/or the button itself that activates the top .
Sometimes the top has to be reset, meaning it is "out of cycle" for some reason.
This process involves manually lowering the top and manually bringing it back up and locking it in place. Sometimes (I hope so) that is all that is required.
Go on You Tube and check under something like Audi top reset or something like that.
Good Luck.

Mine gives me a problem opening if it hasn't been opened for a while and its nose is point uphill. It requires me to manually open, some times if everything is exactly aligned where the load is off it will finish opening, but only if level or the nose is down hill. Fingers crossed, it seems to work if the nose is level or facing down hill.
