I am new to Audi. I am a BMW guy with my 540i/6. Audi will be part of the family as a daily. That being said, we bought a 2008 A4 Cabriolet with the 2.0T and 63k on the clock.

What are are the things I should look out for?

Don’t want this post to be in any way negative but one preventive measure at 80,000 miles is to change rubber toothed timing belt, tensioner, idler pulley and plastic impeller water pump with metal one. S/B about $800 USD... Maybe change the "lifetime" autotrans fluid and filter when you hit 100,000 miles if you have an automatic. That is about it...! Other than just drive it like you stole it and have fun. I think the 2006 A4 Cabriolet is just about the best looking model of Audi made...no amber marker lights, and nice front and rear lines...

You never know how well or poorly the car was treated.
In addition to the timing belt, water pump, etc, do the front cam seal at the same itme
Change all fluids. I didn't see if you said quattro or not, but there is no Lifetime fluid. Change transmission fluid/gear oil, on whatever transmission you have, rear end oil if quattro, Flush brake fluid with new Pentosin, Change or at least drain and fill power steering fluid with Pentosin.
Probably due for a new set of spark plugs.
New air filter.

Check the fuel pump. As I recall there were problems with the fuel pump cam wearing through the metal cup which rides on the cam shaft. Research about prophylactic replacement.

Hope this helps
