Trailer hitch for Convertable
Hi, I'm looking for a hitch that will fit a convertable. every site I've found has hitches available for every model except convertable. Does anyone know of a hitch that will fit this car?
I just need to carry bikes on a receiver hitch rack.
thanks

I too have been looking with no luck. The only lead I have is that the U-haul site shows one for our car. I've called Uhaul a couple of times to confirm, to which they reply they need to research and will call me back. So far....no call back. Also called a local uhaul installer and got the same response.
Please post up if you find something, as I too want to have a way of bringing my bike with me.

Here's what U-Haul had to say.
Thank you for your inquiry. Our vendors do not have any hitches designed for the 2005 Audi A4 Quattro Cabriolet. U-Haul does offer custom designed hitches. The rate for the custom design is $1,000, and you can go to a U-Haul center to get this started. Once the request is made, U-Haul will find that vehicle in Phoenix, AZ and begin the process to design the hitch. To find the location nearest to you, please refer to our location finder at www.uhaul.com.
I'll let you know if I decide to pursue this route.

I know this is an old thread, but here's what I ended up doing. Couldn't find a hitch though did find a local shop that would weld one up for me for around $300. Though the price was right, looking at the situation under the car didn't give me much confidence in whatever would be fabricated.
So I bought the Bird Automotive bike rack system. Though can't be used as a hitch, it's great for the bike rack, and you can also get ski and other attachments for it. Just used it for the first time the other day, and it held two bikes just fine, could still open the trunk, and was able to get in a bike ride at the only trail in my area not buried in mud due to the rains. I posted some pics on audizine site.

Time to bring this back up to the top. Has anyone found a hitch for the A4 convertibles yet? I have a 2007 that I would love to put a hitch on to haul my motorcycle when I go on vacation. TIA, Jim

Hitch
Do a search for Eurohitch or Euro hitch. They are a bit more than American made, but disappear when receiver part of hitch is removed.
