A^ Oil Consumption/leak

my 2011 supercharged A6 uses a qt or a little more between changes. Is this normal? Also I see oil spots on my driveway. DO these engines typically develop oil leaks at 50,000 miles?

An oil leak is not typical with these engines. Try to determine where it's leaking. A couple common places on any engine are the valve covers and the oil pressure sending units.

I would say it's very common around 75k miles and up...but then again your car is 6 years old.

Check the oil filter housing and the timing chain covers too.
