2013 A6 Prestige Sport/20 - brake grab/clunk on full stop
Newbie here, recently made the shift from BMW to Audi, pretty happy with the car, but one little issue that I wanted to hear others feedback on.
Car is brand new 2013 A6 prestige with Sport and 20s on it. When coming to full stop, there is a fairly loud clunk/grabbing sound in the front axle, and again when you release the brakes and get going. It only happens after the car has come to full stop, and it is noticeable enough for my kids to notice and ask about.
No other issues with noises, or brake function. Only happens when coming to full stop.
anybody else with similar noise, I had a loaner while they were prepping mine and that 2012 model did not have that noise. I have tried to seat the pads real well, but to no avail on this noise.

What you describe doesn't sound normal or related to bedding in the brakes. The brakes can be a bit grabby and it took me awhile to get used to them but I've never noticed this clunk on stop and start you're experiencing on my A6. Could be loose suspension component that's shifting on acceleration and deceleration. I once had a clunk sound in my A4 that turned out to be an improperly torqued engine mount bolt which was easily fixed. Get it to the service department and take it for a drive with a tech.
