OK looks like that's it, need the Driver Assist Package. And yea, pretty sure all A6's use the rpm lights to indicate red-line.

Sorry to dig up an old thread. In the above video, redline appears to be at 5,400 rpm, but it looks like the engine isn't completely cold. Is the redline even lower on a completely cold engine? Does it vary with outside ambient temp? What is the lowest redline value that you've seen? Just curious....

Yes it does vary with outside temp/engine temp, and quite possibly an algorithm of some sort since some have still seen the lowered redline briefly when coolant and oil are already up to temp. The lowest I've ever seen one time was 4400 on an extremely cold day but it quickly moved to 5400 which tends to be the standard "cold start" lowered redline for the S6.
