2016 A6 TDI Prestige NOX sensor and Brake light on
Just purchased an this A6 few weeks ago ( from an independent dealer) , still having 2 months worth of factory warranty plus TDI coverage.
Yesterday upon returning from a weekend drive CEL came on. Used vag to identify the code and looks like is NOX sensor. Already scheduled the service with my local Audi dealer for tomorrow but in the way to work another issue arise- BRAKE light on the dash came one. I am in the parking lot at work and not sure if safe to drive it back home where I have the scanner or just call roadside assistance - TDI warranty should provide free roadside assistance isn't it ?

Brought the car to the dealer today. I was told that ther ear brakes were changed ( they look new) but upon installation rear brakes sensor wire was intentionally cut.
Could that be possible ? also they wanted to replace it for me for $90 part and 1 and 1/2 hour labot which i declined.
Couple of thoughts: did a 12k miles car need rear brakes replacement , second who in the world would cut the sensor wire ?

Aftermarket sensor wire is about $18 and takes 10 min to change. There are 2 sensors total. One on the front and rear drivers side. You can change the wire itself. Just watch youtube video replacing brakes. Good call on the decline.
