2019 A6 "then dumbs it down for Americans
Car and Driver just published a mini take on the 2019 A6 and the headline reads "then dumbs it down for Americans". There are numerous threads stating that the US version of numerous Audi's are missing some impressive features but Audi continues to do it and snubs it's biggest market, when will they learn?

I agree. Some of the features and options that are supposed to be only available on the European models would be nice to have. That said, I am still planning on ordering a 2019 as soon as the order guides are available.

What are the features that are gonna be missing? Is it all cosmetic again such as the turn signal being the whole light fixture as opposed to the pretty strip? Could the missing features be enabled via VCDS tweaking?

- Amber directional blinkers (without fixed part)
- Full Matrix or laser headlights
- Air suspension or (with new C8 gen) dynamic dampers - US will likely only get the steel springs in regular and sport flavors
- Not all the seat options
- No AI level 3 autonomous driving (for now)
- No self parallel parking feature
- Not the amount of customizations or ability to order all options individually
- No wagons with full pano roof or RS models

I saw the guide posted for 2019 but the exterior colors are different from what I have read on AudiUSA… Anyone have a template on what the new colors look like? Are there photos of cars with the 2019 colors yet?
We plan for the ED program and A6 prestige plus any goodies that may be available...

Everyone also needs to realize that the order guide is for launch cars.....true to Audi form, things change during model runs.

I cannot find information regarding the US 2019’s, they all seem to tease us with the EU specs and pictures. Even the reviews are all from the EU so we will have to wait for information about our watered down version.
