Wow. This might be the first time I've ever made money buying a car! Thanks for the updates.

Seems a lot of info is for the 2.0L diesels. Here is the link I am using to get info specifically aimed at the 3.0L diesels only.
This is where I got the 14 Feb. date. Note that the 3.0L diesel settlement is only proposed at this point. There are only proposed schedules.

that's the one. The FAQ is there with the dates, including the modification timeline as I mentioned before. I'm sure since they've posted dates the parties involved have agreed (epa, carb, owners lawyers, etc) and the judge will approve it. It's a reasonable plan.

I agree, but lets see what the big boys say. (Not counting my chickens.......)

You will; any car purchased after September 18th - previous owner can claim part of the compensation. I am not even sure how it'd work if you were to buy one now...

I don't see how you would get any money out of this directly from Audi. I do see that your getting a great car so you shouldn't be discouraged. If your getting a great deal then its almost like you are getting something out of the settlement. Good luck to you.

I think I will purchase one used. If after the software update fuel/performance go down can an APR mod maybe make up for that?

Official 3.0L settlement was just posted on Judge Breyers site. 50 pages worth.

As I read page 10 of the presentation, for us Gen II owners, if the EPA compliant repair is not approved by Dec. 20 (subject to a max. extension of 90 days thereafter), then after that date the buy-back/trade-in option becomes available - is that your interpretation as well?
