4000 RPM Warning

I have a 2016 A6 3.0. This warning comes on and clears after a restart. Anyone else have this issue? In shop, was told maybe oil pressure switch. Dealer service manager seemed perplexed. Part is on order but did not good feeling they know what the exact problem is.

Had a similar issue; the message would come on as soon as I gave it a go and go away on ignition cycle. Scanned the car and the error code was the oil pressure switch high/low. Replaced the switch and been error free.

Scan the car for codes.

Thanks for the response. Awaiting that part. I’ll post my results after a week or so.

Do you have a part number for this switch?

Q

No part was replaced. Technician found corroded wire at oil pressure switch. Made repair and road tested for two days. No codes after two days or any warning light issues. We picked up vehicle today. I will repost in a week or so if any issues arise.

At the end of the day, it's just a warning and nothing that will impact the performance and lead to further issue right? I may choose just to ignore the warnings as annoying but what concerns me is that I never had this happen until I brought it to Audi Service for a recall repair. A day later this happened. Almost as if I was setup for future Audi Service bills being ridiculously overcharged.

06E-919-081-G location and replacement fix 06E919081G

Issue fixed !!
Thank you @nozatech for all your help.
I took some pictures in the dark .. hopefully they can help someone else.

Additional information about my car:
2014 Audi A7 3.0 SuperCharged engine.
Problem: EPC error on the dashboard.
Fix: Replaced BOTH oil pressure sensors.
Part Number:
Part # 06E-919-081-G $13
Part# 038-919-081-P $28

The second part sensor is on the left of the oil filter housing and there are pictures online showing you how to replace.

This is where the first sensor is located:
please note: I did not remove the SuperCharger to replace any of the sensors!!

The sensor is on the back side of the oil filter housing.

Best things to do is use a mirror to locate the sensor first.

Once located it’s not too hard to replace it. You will need to be very patient though.
