Advice: Flip or Keep after MVA? 2012 vs 2014
Hi Everyone, looking for a little advice. I have a CPO 2012 A6 3.0 Prestige 20" Sport. LED, Phantom Black on black. 20k miles. I love the car. Sadly, I was t-boned on driver's side. Door shell and 1/4 panel replaced. $12k in damage. No suspension damage. Car repaired at Audi Certified Body Shop.
It drives fine after repairs, but it still feels a bit like "tainted" goods. I started looking to make a change, but not sure it's the right thing to do.
I found a 2014 A6, Prestige, 20" Sport, LED. 9600 miles. Same car but with Driver Assist package and Oolong Gray (for all intents and purposes, I like both colors). This is not a CPO since it is not being sold by an Audi dealer - still plenty of new car warranty though. It is a dealer so I pay sales tax on the spread. Also, I purchased Audicare ($800) and Audi connect ($450 prepaid) on my 2012. I do not believe 2014 includes Audicare and not sure my prepaid Audi connect SIM card can switch from car to car).
Anyway, I'm on the fence. I can get the 2014 for about $55,000 (give or take) and my trade value is up to about $38k on my 2012 (took a big hit because of the bad car fax...which I understand). I did get some diminished value money from insurance company of woman who hit me so it is not a big out of pocket number for me.
Just looking for some thoughts. Newer MY by two years, but not CPO. I think the pricing is in the ballpark, but negotiations not completed. Of course, if I drive my 2012 for a few more years the depreciation will likely level off even with the car fax ding (it was "functional" and drivable from scene). Also, Audicare and Audi connect are considerations. Will the "tainted goods" feeling ever go away? Any thoughts or analysis would be appreciated.

If you have $ to burn, do what you want but I don't think it's a very smart move. I experienced the same thing when my brand new SUV was in a minor fender bender. I lost total love for my SUV. I treated it like tainted goods for a while. After a few months, it wore off. If it drives well, I'd keep it.
