Default Just upgraded to A6 TDI from 2.0

Just got back from the dealership; traded in my very gently used 2014 2.0 A6 for the TDI. Loving the power increase as well as 42 mpg on a 75-80 mph trip back from the dealer.

The incentives available right now on the TDI (3k loyalty, 1k Prem Plus, 700 preferred option) were too much to pass up, coupled with the fact that I was able to negotiate a significant amount off sticker before the incentives, for any of you thinking of pulling the trigger now is the time.

2nd diesel (first was a jetta TDI 2.0 few years back as a commuter car). Not sure why I strayed, but I think I am here to stay. Fiancee has the TT when I feel the need for that visceral high rev thrashing that TDI can't provide.

Loving this car!

Congrats on the new pick up! I recently traded my '13 A6 2.0 for an A7 3.0T and was contemplating the A6 TDI, but they couldn't find the right combo with BO I was looking for.

Such an amazing difference in power either way and couldn't be happier. Will definitely 2nd the incentives on the TDIs as well.

Welcome to the TDI Club!! Mileage will continue to improve as well. My overall, 5,500 mile, average at pump is 32.6 MPG. I've seen an indicated high of 51.9 and a low of 27.

Hope you got to use the ACNA 6% discount as well!!

I hope you guys will take the time to calibrate your DIS readout for MPG. You'll quickly realize it's somewhat optimistic.

Congrats on the new diesel, Josh!

I agree with above...the DIS read out is optimistic. Calculated using actual miles driven divided by gallons of diesel fuel show I get about 34 mpg with 70% hwy:30% city and as high as 36-37 and as low as 30-31. Still good mileage but no where near what the DIS is telling me I get.

Congrats on the new diesel, Josh!
Or just use your iPhone app to track it for you

That's mine quoted at pump.

Worth checking that the system is set to US Gallons not Imperial. I have a 2.0TDi and find that the long term average calculated by the car (I reset it every 2 fills) is pretty accurate compared to calculating it at the pump Of course to do that properly you need to be sure you use the same pump each time because the cut off sensors on the pumps vary as well.

Will find the picture thread to post a screen shot, but I'm loving the TDI. Drove from Boise to Laramie, just over 9 hours, 700 miles on one tank of gas. Screen indicated 41 mpg with an average speed of 75 mph. Filled up with 18.1 gallons (my math indicates just above 38 mpg). No complaints here, love passing Priuses

My same experience with 2014 TDI, the speedometer reads fast, 78 is 75, 41 MPG is closer to 38 when you calculate gallons/miles driven. First Audi with this much error on the speedo,
My 2002 A4 is within 1 mph as was my 2000 S4

I think this great range and good low RPM acceleration are the two main reasons for buying one of these super high tech diesels.
