Default Anybody have a good use for the useless sunglasses holder?

2015 A6 Prestige here... the pop-down sunglasses holder aft of the rear-view mirror seems absolutely useless to me for all but the smallest pairs of glasses. Anybody using it for something interesting?

I use the one in the center console in front of the shift lever for my sunglasses and the pop-down holder aft of the rear-view mirror for non-sunglass glasses. Those Germans must all just have very small glasses is what I thought when I first bought my car!

My glasses fit in the one by the rear-view mirror though it is a bit tricky to get them in there... however with some practice, I can do it once handed now!

It is not a problem getting the glasses in he holder, it is however, impossible to get them out when needed!

I have a pair that fits in the wife's Q5, and yes, often takes a try or 2 to get them placed correctly. My overhead carries my iPass and the cubby in front of the shifter holds my glasses.

I use it at a sun visor in certain situations. Used to have that visor standard on B5...

Same here. I have the little visor on the older cars, but not the newer ones. I always though that was a nice little feature.

Ha! I didn’t even know that compartment was there. I keep my sun glasses in the cup holder. I did manage to get them into the compartment, but it seems more trouble than it’s worth.

I keep a lens cloth to clean the sunglasses that won't fit in there and an emergency band aid.
