Audi A6 TAIL LIGHTS DECODED
HELLO EVERYONE!
I have successfully decoded the Audi A6 Taillights!
US to EU conversion, Disabling rear side markers, activate rear fog lights are now possible.
I will post all the coding online, these codes also work for an Audi A5, but they have to be used with logic and not COPY PASTE.
I worked very hard to decode the taillights, it took me a month to finalize it.
------------------------------------------------------------------
CODING THE TAIL LIGHTS GUIDELINES:
Each Channel corresponds to a PIN of the wiring diagram to the comfort module for the rear taillight. So you need to know what WIRE PIN is responsible for what part of the rear taillight before recoding it to the correct value.
THERE IS ALWAYS A DIFFERENCE OF "32" NUMBERS BETWEEN THE LEFT AND THE RIGHT CHANNEL
PLEASE ASK ME QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ON YOUR OWN.
MODULE INVOLVED: COMFORT MODULE [46]
SECURITY CODE: 16017
CHANNELS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TAIL LIGHTS CODING: 195 - 210
FOR US MARKET:
TO DEACTIVATE THE SIDE MARKERS CHANGE CHANNEL VALUE TO
209: 0 (OUTER LEFT) OR TURN SIGNAL FOR THE EU MARKET (12)
210: 32 (OUTER RIGHT) OR TURN SIGNAL FOR THE EU MARKET (44)
TO ACTIVATE THE REAR PARKING LIGHTS CHANGE THE VALUES TO:
199: 51201 (TAIL LIGHT BULB INNER LEFT)
200: 51233 (TAIL LIGHT BULB INNER RIGHT)
201: 51202 (TAIL LIGHT BULB + PARKING LIGHT OUTER LEFT)
202: 51234 (TAIL LIGHT BULB + PARKING LIGHT OUTER RIGHT)
AND
[09 – Cent. Elect.] Byte 9 Change Bit 0 to 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT:
To retrofit the EUROPEAN taillights, you either have to swipe two wires in the inner taillights (T2 <--> T3) or you can keep the wires as is, and
code them accordingly:
CHANNEL [195: 12 & 196: 44] and [203: 5 & 204: 37]
================================================== ===========
HERE IS THE EXCEL SHEET WITH ALL THE VALUES, THE SHEET IS SELF EXPLANATORY
USE THE SAME LOGIC TO RECODE THE A4 FACELIFT, A5 FACELIFT, A6 , A7, A8 TAILLIGHTS 2012+
PLEASE DONT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME FOR ANY QUESTIONS
PLEASE DO THE CODING AT YOUR OWN RISK, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES YOU MAY CAUSE AFTER CODING.

Very cool! Thanks for giving back to the community. I'll look thru that when I have a bit more time.
I had the taillights re-programmed on my '11 A4 by a fellow (DavidB8) from the NWT in Canada. He and his pal seemed to have spent a lot of time reverse engineering all the coding possibilites. It appears to have been quite an undertaking.
i don't believe they ever shared the actual coding info.

Yes, i know that DavidB8 decoded them, but he never released the codes.
I worked very hard with my friend in Germany, and we decoded them ourselves and decided to release it to the public.
These codes are valid for 2012+, since david decoded the pre facelift A4 and A5, i decided not to release them public yet. There is a tiny small difference for the tailights, the rest is the same, but you must use the wiring diagrams to know what you are actually coding.
Each Channel corresponds to a PIN of the wiring diagram to the comfort module for the rear taillight. So you need to know what WIRE PIN is responsible for what light before recoding it to the correct value.

Audi used the Turn signal CHANNEL for the side markers, on the US version.
