Hi,

I know on Audi USA website, it lists Audi Care for 2018 A6 as $999 MSRP.

I am wondering how much people actually pay for this?

My local dealer is asking for $1,250, which I think is absurd...

I just bought an A6, and bought Audi Care for $999. Don't let them mark up. You can buy it through any dealership.

Are they even allowed to mark it up? I think my dealer is doing the same thing, quoting me over $1200 for AudiCare Plus for my Q5 for the 65k/75k intervals..

I'm sure they can, but the brochure specifically states the cost of Audi Care. You can just ask them if they'll do the exact cost. Again, you can buy it from any dealer.

Scroll down, and you will see the prices per model. Sounds like you need to dump the deal and buy your car and audi care from a different dealership. If they try to scam you this early it will only get worse and is a sign of the culture of that particular dealership.
It makes all the difference. I had a great experience at Audi Wilsonville both times. Salesman, after I had agreed on price, without being asked, turned his monitor around showing internal Audi program with cost to factory to build car, up market cost for dealership to buy it, and upmarket cost I will pay, with a clear understanding every party is here to either make or save money. Got a good discount even before trade in but still fair as dealerships are a business and we all know the number 1 reason a business exists. Never experienced this level of transparency before when buying previous cars.
