I’m currently awaiting delivery of a 2014 A6 TDI Prestige. The carrier vessel is somewhere in the Atlantic, due to arrive in Houston around May 20. So, to entertain myself during this interminable wait, I go to the Audi USA site and rebuild my car. Since I ordered mine in March, there have been some changes to the A6 car builder.

First – . I noticed today that the total price has increased $500 since last month. Not sure if this is specific to the Prestige or the TDI. Individual package prices appear to be the same.

Second - I ordered Daytona Gray with a Titanium Gray interior. Now, the car builder will only allow a Black interior for Daytona Gray. It appears that all other exterior colors allow the selection of the Titanium interior.

Any idea why they would limit the interior color choices for Daytona Gray?

I don't know why they would limit the color choices, they AREN'T limited on the 2015 model. But I looked at my 2014 Order Guide, and Titanium Gray interior is NOT an option with Daytona Gray. So I'm not sure how you were about to order it that way.

At the time I ordered in March, it was available. The change seems to be more recent.

I'm not trying to argue with you. Here is the 2014 Order Guide. The exterior/interior color combinations for the A6 are on page 31. It came out April 2013, and your configuration wasn't an option. I'd think that you might have yourself a 2015, but it's a little early to be on it's way already.

They must have changed it at the end of March then. I have the accessaudi.com printout from the dealer and it's definitely a 2014.
