I'm looking at either a 2015 or 2016 model , I wanted to know a little about your ownership experiences such as maintenance, modifications, , or repair experiences you may have had with your car and how is the Quatro AWD have you taking it on sky trips how good is the AWD on it ? Please let me know I'm new and would like to get all the information I can as I am planning to purchase my first Audi

Ski trips

I bought a 2014 A6 almost 3 years ago that had 9k miles on it and was a CPO. Aside from the regular scheduled maintenance, replacing the gas door actuator and getting that damn TDI emissions fix the car has been amazing. Taken it to Tahoe a few times and the AWD handled like any AWD SUV I have driven in the snow. Buying a CPO is the way to go and get the Audi Care to cover the maintenance. I am now at 57k miles and runs like the day I bought it, good acceleration and if you floor it getting onto the freeway you will be doing 100mph before you even realize it...not that I would ever do that. As far as mods, I didn't really get into that, but there are a lot of knowledgeable people on here who can help. Good luck with your purchase

What they said!

get a 3.0 with options......make sure you get CPO thru dealer. While you are doing test drives look at the A8 as well, great cars, fantastic interiors and ride quality. With the 4.0 V8 they really move!

Check on the 20 inch wheels, they state no chains so ski trips could be an issue. Maybe a spare set of 18 inches would be a good idea for winter trips?

I went from a 535 to an A6 3.0. You won't regret it. I switched to the A6 TDI and other than the emissions fix issues and replacing the front wheel bearings repairs have been the only costs above normal maintenance and I'm pushing 82,000. I find the Quattro to be better than BMW in this car size and having taking it up snow passes and icy hills, I can say it drives like a dream.
