Default Park Assist

Does the A6 have the self parking feature or just the top and surround cameras?
Thanks,
Bill, Still driving my 11 Jetta TDI, but plan to order a 15 A^!

This is another feature I just don't understand why Audi is not offering in the US when its competitors do in the same marketplace.
Sure, most of us don't really need the feature but that's not the point.

Aside from the cost to Audi for U.S. regulatory approval on some features, it's simply a matter of cost and marketing. AOA feels they must hit a competitive price point so some features found in ROW will be eliminated in lieu of other Audi feels are more important to keep. So, for the NA region, no adjustable suspension, no headlight washers, no self-parking, no GPS linked headlight control, etc., etc.

Recently, my daughter began searching for a new car to replace a BMW 328x coming off lease. Based on several factors, her search was for a vehicle with diesel engine and all wheel drive. The new BMW 3 series features this combination (also has headlight washers!); our local Audi dealer could only hold out hopes that in "a year and a half" the updated A4 might have this feature set.

Not good.

Why not good? A car company can't be all things to all people

My question is, why can Audi not find it in the budget to include these things, but BMW and Mercedes can? Seems like either they're paying too much for materials and parts, they want a bigger profit than they should be getting, or they're paying their corporate people too much.

In this day and age, theres absolutely no reason to skimp on features. You can get most of the stuff available on high end models on the cheapest economy cars. Like LED headlights. Audi has the nerve to charge extra for it, when Toyota includes them on the Corolla. Self parking can be found on the Fusion. These are cars that cost a fraction of the A6, but manage to include the features Audi charges extra for, or doesn't offer at all. Something is very wrong at VW.
