Burning Smell
Sorry if this is explained elsewhere, but i couldn't find anything...
I bought a 2012 A6 with the 2.0 TFSI. The first couple days after I bought it, I noticed a burning smell that would seep into the cabin, but was very strong outside and under the hood. It smells like burning oil. Since I have first smelled it, I have kept a regular check on my oil level and have not seen any dip in it. I have though noticed heavy white smoke lifting off the catalytic converter even after a short few minute drive. I haven't noticed any smoke from the tail pipe, and all fluid levels that i know to check seem not to be changed....
Anyone have an idea?

How long has this been happening? If not long, I wonder if some oil got dripped or spilled onto the catalytic converter somehow and just hasn’t burned off completely yet.
