My 2013 November 2012 build date has had wind noise from the drivers side front door since new. Well my wife and kids can not hear it! But I do. The A6 should be very quite. The A6 and my Q5 seem to be noisier than my BMWs or Benz have been. Well the short story is "NPF" from the dealer service. On my return drive from Florida to Mass. the drives window would not close, up/down,up/down then I noticed the weather stripping in the channel between the door frame and the driver's mirror was folded over and not allowing the window to close "pinch protection". I pulled the rubber out and it was all folded and torn. I contacted the dealer and they ordered the part. Monday they will install it and do some software updates. I assume this will correct the wind noise.

There is a TSB out for driver's side wind noise due to a gasket for the RV mirror (not sure if it extends to '13 models). You should find that by searching the forum. It sounds like you found the obvious problem, but you may also have the other. Have the dealer check when you take it back in.

The molding was replaced. Now more wind noise than before! AOA has been contacted by the dealer. The trim must now be replaced as it was marred during the molding install! The noise is from the drivers mirror. The dealership said the TSB does not apply to my car. I feel the mirror should be replaced. The wind noise can be heard from 18 mph and gets louder with the increase in speed.

Did this get fixed? In my 2012 A6, i'm noticing a very faint whistling noise at higher speeds that seems to be coming from passenger side.
Anyone have the same and got it corrected? Will have the dealer take a look at next visit.
As others have noted, surprising how much wind noise you hear in these cars.. feels like my C6 was insulated a bit more. Or maybe the V10 was just covering up any wind noise!
