Hello guys!
Does have someone expirience with retrofit Carplay to Audi A6 Facelift?
I have model 2015, where it is not officially possible from Audi dealer.
Is there any way to activate remotely (if i have original VCDS, ODIS (non original but OKI Chip), Vag Can Pro, OBD Eleven, or DLink USB-Ethernet for Telnet)
My unit is: SW: 4G1 035 044 E HW: 4G1 035 044,
My SW version is:
MHI2_ER_AUG11_P0040, Software MU: 0335

Or find someone way how to activate it ?

P.S. I mean, that after release Waze for Carplay most of users want it :-)

From what i understand, the MMI hardware is different, so you'll have to change out your MMI unit.

There are several companies and guys, who offer it, so it should be the same hardware ... or not ? :-)

I believe you need to have a later 2016 model year car for the hardware to be compatible, so depends what exactly you have. You can check with the companies that do retrofitting, but I believe it can't be done with VCDS or coding, and needs to be via an authorized service provider.

I have a 2016, need to find out how my MMI version compares to other 2016 and also 2017/2018 owners. So far only 2017/18 owners have the MMI software with CarPlay

Any update on this? also looking for carplay or android auto upgrade on my MIB2
