Child Proof Catch Fault

Recently my a6 has developed a fault that is more annoying than actually causing a problem. It displays child proof catch fault on the dash screen.
Interior lights intermittently work and at night I've noticed that the rear passenger door led on exterior doesn't illuminate. the childproof switches both operate fine and windows etc also fine, however the passenger side led on drivers control console doesn't illuminate even tho it works fine, you can hear the door lock and it works as it should.

The other thing ive noticed is that the interior led ambience lighting comes on for a time after vehicle is locked only on passenger side.

I have a vag com cable but not fully sure how to use it if that will help someone diagnose the fault

any help would be appreciated

You should run a scan with your VCDS cable and see what fault codes come up. If your unsure how to run a scan the Ross Tech website can help you with that. Good Luck!

@hacman , were you able to come up with some solution to the problem ?

Closed my issue.
Resolution: took it to the repair shop where they have cleaned all child lock wired connections in the door and it worked. No software updates needed.
Root cause: possibly low car battery lvl at some point
