Considering a used 2014 TDI A6 without Sport Package? Sport pkg question and MPG

I traded in my 2014 A6 TDI (see specs in signature) back in March. Car had 68k miles on it and was in very good condition - dealer gave me $21.3k on trade (Carmax offered $21k even), then listed it for $28k and sold it a couple weeks later for $27k.

I have a Jetta Sport Wagon TDI and have become a diesel fanatic. The A6 I found has Prestige, 48K miles, and other options without Sport. I do not personally like lowered or stiff suspension. Most dealer leftover 2016's seems to have the 19 inch or larger wheels with sport. Does Sport package stiffen the suspension even in the comfort driving mode? Does it lower the car? Does $28K seem like a good deal on a loaded 2014 TDI? Car fax looks clean except I see a fuel pump at 46K that worries me about someone putting the wrong fuel in it? Did Fuel pumps have any issues on these cars? On my test drive I saw mid 20's for city and low to mid 30's on the highway (Colorado Elevations). Does that seem right? Please chime in on Sport Package advantages and disadvantages plus any MPG post fix if you want.

I am assuming that's what a private party bought it for from the dealer?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the drive select modes alter the suspension unless the car has active suspension -- I don't believe ours does. We've only had ours about 2 mos. and I drive mostly highway for my commute (rural and busy interstate) with 36-38 mpg. Best I've gotten on a full highway tank is 39.9. All mpgs hand calculated. FWIW, ours has standard suspension and 18" wheels and I'm pleased with it.

Bad news! I was about to lay down $$ for this A6 and after a pre purchase inspection at a local Audi Dealer they identified oil seeping below perhaps the Timing Belt Casing. The repair would be $7500 to fix that. While its not leaking this will become an issue in the future. Has anyone else seen this issue on these TDI engines? Thats not good news.

I have owned Audi's since 1973 and my 2014 Ag TDI Presitge is the only car I have ever bought that has not had a single problem with any system in 75,000 miles. No oil usage with 10,000 mile changes, no leaks, no rattles, nothing.
I am delaying the diesel fix as long as I can as I love the way it runs and shifts now. Already have 50% of it and the whole Bosch payment.
Don't hesitate to buy one of these.
