Custom foglight setups on those without factory foglights

Hi Eric,
I'm not so sure why everyone is so down on this idea, but I am going to do the same thing as well.
I have a 2014 non-LED.
For the record, I really don't care how great the LED headlights are because they are in the wrong location. The idea with a fog light is to reflect as much light off the road as possible, while reflecting very little into your eyes. So, the lower, the better. Factory headlights are in the wrong location to be good fog lights.
The best aftermarket lights I have seen are made by Hella. They have a few options, but the Micro DE is easiest to package. There is a thread about them here, a member got the ACC grilles and did the conversion.

Also, there are some other options.
1) The factory put 55W halogen fog lights in the lower grilles on every other continent but North America. if you spend some time on ebay or Amazon from the UK you will find many pieces listed. You can buy the grilles, lights, and the proper headlight switch. There are 3 or 4 grille options to match your particular trim package. The used parts are all coming from eastern Europe. The new parts are coming from China or the UK. I am planning to go this route just for the fun and challenge of it. Since the headlight switch uses CAN BUS, it will require some VAG COM coding and a relay to work properly. The actual light assembly is used across many cars and is available from US Audi dealers. The fog light grilles have a larger opening than the ACC sensors.
2) Ebay - There are a couple kits from China that look like they use the European grilles and add an aftermarket halogen or HID projector. They claim to bolt right in. Feedback is good. This might be a very easy option.
3) I think the bottom of the main grille would be a good place to do a "motorsports" looking fog light arrangement. Think like the GT500 Mustangs or the early Camaro RS. With the prevalence of desktop 3D printers, you could cut the stock grille, and print bezels to pop over the openings
