Default Deciding between Prestige and Premium Plus (2014 vs 2015)

Hi there -

Been reading around on this forum for a while but finally figured I'd get registered and seek some opinions

I'm about to pull the trigger on an A6 3.0 2014 or 2015 this week. Both are almost identical in terms of color, sport package, etc. The bigger decision is the 2014 is a Prestige and the 2015 is a Premium Plus (and a little less miles but that isn't relevant for this discussion). I'm having a tough time deciding if I really need the prestige or not. I'm trying to get an idea of what key features I'll lose if I do the 2015 Premium Plus vs the 2014 Prestige, but I'm having a bit of a tough time completely confirming. Anyone able to help out and point me at some of the main things I'd be giving up if I went the Premium-plus route?

Thanks guys

I am pretty sure the prestige level gets you this in addition to the premium plus stuff:

Base Additions:
-Xenon adaptive headlights
-Power folding mirrors
-S line exterior
-4 zone climate control
-Side assist and presense rear
-Bose stereo
-Perforated/ventilated 12 way leather seats

Available options:
-Full LED headlights
-Power sunshades
-Rear passenger extra airbags
-B&O sound system
-Black headliner
-Innovation package (Night vision, assistance pkg, presense plus)
-Black Optic pkg

Could be more stuff I am missing but this should cover most of it. You should really see what additional packages are on the prestige. If its a basic prestige, the choice is debatable, but if it has some packages, it could turn into a no brainer.

It actually depends on the MY what is included and what not.
For example, for MY14 LED lights are standard on prestige afaik.

For what it's worth and if it helps (from Consumer Reports). I have a 2015 A6 Premium Plus and love he car. It has all the features I need. Sure there could be more nice to have, but the question is will you ever use them or are they just eye candy? Also, consider if there is any factory warranty left on the 2015. Just some things to think about.

As stated, depends upon which options are important to you.

For me, I really wanted the ventilated seats, which only came with the Prestige package, so the extras were just extras. Not sure if folding mirrors are standard on both versions, but for someone who always used to walk back to the car to triple check whether I locked it--all I need do now is check from afar to see if mirrors folded up (as they do when locked).

A fully loaded Prestige is a big step up. You won’t regret it.
