I'm looking to pickup a 2016 3.0t Prestige to replace my well loved (230K miles) 2002. I do all my own maintenance and repairs, and have done the Timing Belt job 3 times, the auxiliary water pump, cam shaft adjusters, control arms, etc.

I'm just wondering how the 3.0 compares to the 2.7 as far as difficulty to work on, etc.

I had a 2.7T and now the 3.0T. I work on them myself as well and I think they are almost equal in difficulty with the 3.0T being just a smidge easier. You can look at my history on here to see all the stuff I did, i won't go into it right now, but everything was straightforward.
