Default DIY on rear wheel bearing

Did a search and saw others who have done the fronts with buying the hub and the bearing as one piece.

Question is I dont see anyone who sells the REAR bearing and hub together. Have anyone replaced rear bearing DIY? Do you need a press? and how complex is it? The front looks straight forward replacing the hub with the bearing in it already

Thanks

The bearings and hubs for both the front and rear use the same part numbers. I would assume the front assembly would also work on the rear.

OK found the part # 8K0407607

...but it looks like they don't sell them together with the bearing already pressed into the hub.......at least ECS don't have them together. I called the dealership and they told me that part is discontinued..... they see that now as the bearing by itself and the hub by itself....

There is a TSB about wheel bearings in these cars. I'm not sure if there is a warranty or mileage requirement but it is referenced in the following thread:

Update:

Wheel bearing replaced by Audi Dealer, they covered the parts and I paid for labor. they also found ripped front control arm bushing....which they covered the parts as well.....

$1400 usd for labor of both rear wheel bearing and both front lower control arm bushing plus alignment.

is not cheap but not that bad either
