Door handles supposed to light up?
 

I noticed what appear to be light lenses on my door handles. I have the prestige package with the ambient light plus package. I have not seen my door handles light up and I do believe they are supposed to when getting close to the vehicle. Is there an MMI setting I don't know about? Or am I just crazy?

Unfortunately the light is only really useful if you use keyfob button to unlock. Kinda counter-intuitive to the advanced key. The light comes on when you grab the handle but no point then.They do not light up as you get close with the advanced key.

In my 2013, I have to set the headlight knob to Auto for the handles LED to light up.

Thanks for the tip! Put the lights to auto, but only my passenger front handle lights. Wth

Hi, I’ve just got an Audi a4 black edition S-Line 2013, I’ve got my lights set on auto but no sign of any lights in the door handles? Could it be because of a different spec? Cheers

Based on the information in a 2016 A4 brochure the original owner would have had to specify the LED Interior Lighting Pack (Option QQ1) to get lighting on the exterior door handles (I know it says Interior in the description!), so most likely your car does have that option
