Default Are DWS 06's still king?

Hi all,

I have a '14 TDI Prestige with a sport package and 19" wheels. Around the 32k mile mark I bought a set of DWS 06's (around April of 2016) which have now worn down to 4/32s @ 67.5k miles... time to replace soon! While I am reasonably satisfied with their performance, not sure what to think about their longevity. Is 35K miles the expected range for these tires (I rotate at 5K mile intervals and tire pressure is 39 front and 36 rear)?

Anyway - wondering what other tires folks have tried and their opinions vs the 06's. Cost is $202 per tire at Tire Rack right now, not including installation which probably will be another 100-150 bucks...

Looking forward for some feedback!

I am on my second set of DWS 06, 2014 TDI, 18 inch wheels, 35,000 is about right for mileage on these, I am still happy, got a better price from Discount Tire on the last set compared to what I paid through Tire Rack and local install.

I'm on my second set. I love the grip and traction. Do think there are more quite tires out there on A6s. But then again, my alignment is almost always out of whack because of city streets and 20" rims

Hey, I just got some 20's with DWS's. I like them so far, but they are a bit noisy... I'm on 265 35 20.

What pressure do you run.

Awesome tire, I have a set on one of my cars.

Michelin AS3's are also top notch, can't go wrong with either

255/35ZR-20, and whatever pressure is in the manual, I forget

If you did 35.5k mi and wore them down from 10/32" to 4/32" then you should get around 47k mi at 2/32". DWS 06 have a 50k mi treadlife warranty so that sounds about right.

I just put on some Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ on my BMW 135i in 215/40R18 and 245/35R18 sizes. Treadlife warranty is 45k mi or 22.5k if mixed sizes so expect slightly worse than the Continental DWS 06. Anyway, first impressions are good, but I'll have to drive them a lot more to see.

Thanks!

My fronts are actually 3/32 and rears are 4/32. I suspect 5-6K more miles and it'll be change time.. so still have a bit of room.
