Fan turning on in TDI A6 after shut off
I drove about 5miles from a cold start and the car "just" warmed up when I got home. After shutting off the car, the car continued to work. After a few minutes of continuous working, I restarted the car and shut off and the fan stopped.
Has anyone had this?

That's the DPF (diesel particulate filter) going through a regen cycle. I've posted replies with links to similar posts here before. It's completely normal.

Since the engine isn't running, I wouldn't worry about it. Whatever negligible CO is present when you turn off the car is there in the garage anyway. I haven't heard of anyone affected by CO poisoning in their garage as a result of the fan running. On the other hand, running the engine in an enclosed garage is definitely not recommended.

The fan will run for a small amount of time, typically no longer than 10 minutes and usually around 5 minutes, as it will generally start while driving, not shutting down. I would not worry about the CO. There is a smell and it can be nauseating but for such a short time it should not bother anyone. Here in AZ I usually keep the garage open to let 'cool' air in for the engine no matter if the fan is running. Just be sure to not restart it to try and forcefully shut it off.
