I ordered an A6 black with nugget interior and black headliner. I also ordered fine ash wood trim. Any input on my choice of wood. I had walnut in the Q5 and liked it but i think the ash looks nice too.

Ash all the way!!! I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I get on that particular wood trim.

totally. It is such a unique wood, even more so for a car as most have a smooth glossy finish. The texture is amazing. One of the top 5 comments I get about the car is that. Give the car a very personal deep feel.

I second all comments being made. I have the exact interior you ordered. Nugat with black headliner and fine wood ash. I got tired of the glossy wood accents on luxury cars. You will be in love with your interior. The wood really completes the look IMO.

I have the aboce combinations as well and love it. It's funny though- all the pics on this site as well as auto.com, etc that have people taking their own pictures of the brown nugout interior, make the color look gross, almost mustard brown looking. Only when I sw the color in person on a prestige model did it look great. Does anyone know if you should take care of the ash wood inlays with any wax or protector as it is a porous material and doesn't seem to have much finish. I just don't want it to fade or age poorly.

Ash all day long. Everybody that sits in my car is immediately wowed by the look and texture - it really is the best interior trim for the A6. Of course, I -am- a bit biased.

Ash all the way. The car I test drove had it and I still remember how blown away I was by it's color/texture.

Ash for Nougat. But I loved the Oak with Velvet Beige.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the walnut. Ash just looked out of place to me.
