I am continually getting a message when I'm trying to set up Homelink on my new Audi. "Error -do you want to try again" I have tried over and over. I can't get past step 1. Holding down buttons 1 and 3 does not give me a flashing led light. So skipping that step, once I get a slow blinking amber light - I hold down that button along with my garage door opener button. For about 30-45 seconds. The blinking light never changes and eventually I get the "error" message again. Anyone have any thoughts? My garage door opener is Liftmaster 3255M installed in 2011. It has a rolling code, but that seems to be irrelevant since I can't even get to that step.

Lotsa videos on this. Google search will help you. Also, might be a bit of a challenge if your opener has Security +2. Liftmaster, and Homelink website might give you some answers. Might have to get a Homelink Repeater accessory to work on Security +2. Do let us know when you find a solution. I was thinking of getting a new Liftmaster, but this +2 stuff bogs my mind. Chamberlain, made by Liftmaster actually says Homelink compatible.

Another source for Homelink. Does not address +2. Seems like there are tons of Audis having issues with Homelink. I had no problem getting mine to work on an older Genie with Homelink.
