First time posting and problems
This is my first post on the forum and currently a second time Audi owner. I had previously owned a 2008 a6 3.2 Quattro (bought around 102k miles and sold at 150k miles) and recently traded in for a 2016 a6 3.0T Quattro (bought at 17k miles). I have had the c7 for about a week and so far loving it!
But!!!
I did notice couple problems.
First problem- I noticed today after turning on the car and driving down the parking lot while my foot was off the throttle, the rpm was jumping up and down at about 100 rpm and would stop as soon as I gave it some throttle, but would return as I just let the car roll with no throttle. I felt the slight jerking backwards as the rpm was jumping up and down. If anyone has had this problem, what were your solutions?
Second problem- I noticed the night before the first problem, I was pulling in to a parking spot and before the car came to a complete stop, I heard a noise which sounded like I had ran over a rock (which there wasn't any rock on the parking spot or anywhere near the spot I was parking). I put the gear in reverse and let go of the brake, but the car did not start rolling backwards until I gave a little gas. Same thing happened when I put the car in drive, which the car did not move forward until I gave some gas. It felt as if the wheels were stuck in a crack on the ground, preventing the car to move without pressing the throttle just a little bit. I checked outside and found no cracks or any objects on the ground, so I'm assuming it's something with the transmission. The problem did not return after starting the car again. If anyone has had this problem, what were your solutions?
Below are the pictures of my old a6 and the current a6.
Looking forward to learning more about the c7 platform and sharing my experience with the car!
