Front license plate bracket
Just joined the club this month, and I'm loving the car. My license plates just arrived and I'm realizing that while there are holes in the front, they are not aligned for a license plate but rather a bracket to hold the license plate. (Which I do not have.)
Any suggestions on where I can find a front license plate bracket? |

I have the Platypus mount from CravenSpeed. It mounts in the front tow hook screw location. Well made and a simple install!

Depending on where you live one or the other does not charge sales tax. |
I leave mine off, as I have all my cars for the last 30 years. never had a problem.
If anything, it's the "bait" ticket when I get pulled over for speeding. |

That's awfully pricey. If the OP bought at a dealer, he might try getting them to solve the issue.

I have been stopped here in TX a few times for no front plate, most of them ending in verbal warnings. It is just a good excuse for them to pull you over - why give them that?
In NY window tint is also illegal, which I also don't abide by. |
NH state police will pull us over just for no front license plate....

The OP should check his trunk carefully. It sounds like someone removed the old bracket since there are holes in his bumper. Many times people remove them and throw them in the trunk (where the spare tire is stored) and so he may not have to buy one. In fact I have bought used cars where I have found brand new brackets in the trunk which were never used.
But if he does need to buy one, there is always eBay and there are usually salvaged ones there for a reasonable price. There are also aftermarket brackets available at most auto parts stores for under $20 that will work fine too but don't contour around the bumper the way the OEM one does. Depends on how important it is to him to get that OEM look. |
