Fuel smell. A6 18k miles.
Is fuel smell normal?
This happened twice now since I got my 12 prestige 3 months ago. 1st was a hot day, over 100F like 2 months ago (was driving in the city). Fuel smell all day when AC on. 2nd time was yesterday, not a hot day day 84F (was driving on a mountain road). Both times I was driving in S-mode, not driving hard. Yesterday though, when I switched back to D from S mode, it went away... Thanks for any input.
BTW my gas mileage has been pretty poor since I got the car 3 months ago. I'm averaging 15mpg in the city. I'm not sure if there's a correlation.
